According to his service records he had 468 Combat Hours recorded.
After his service he utilized his electronics training fixing radio's and TV's until 1955 when he started a Civil Service career, as a radio technician, at Luke Air Force Base, Litchfield Park Arizona.
In 1956 he Joined the Air Force Reserves and continued to put his skills and accumilated more flight hours on HU-16's with the 302nd Air Rescue Squadron out of Luke.
He remained active with the 302nd Air Rescue Squadron out of Luke until he passed from cancer in July 1979 at the age of 54 years old.
