Ernest T. Salo was born in Butte Montana March 14, 1917.According to WWII Enlistment Records Mr. Salo entered the service Feb 26, 1942 from Ft. Lewis Washington. Paul Godwin, 60th BS, states that Ernest served as part of P-14's ground crew as a mechanic.Ernest fished in Alaska before serving in WWII. After the war, he was a steam operator at a plywood plant in Everett, WA.He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, Sons of Norway, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
