9 & 10 June 1945
A third attack on Osaka followed an abortive effort at Chiba, which was on 9 - 10 June.
The Chiba strike had been planned for several days before it was actually carried out, but wretched weather had prevented takeoff for the mission. Although the Group sent twenty-seven aircraft on the raid, 10/10ths weather at the target prevented accurate bombing and the XXI Bomber Command never assessed the results officially.
